Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a heme-containing oxidoreductase extracted from horseradish roots. It catalyzes substrate oxidation using hydrogen peroxide. When conjugated to antibodies or other recognition molecules, HRP serves as a reporter enzyme in ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.[1,2] NebuSelect™ Peroxidase from horseradish (Cat. No. NBL-230198) features a specified enzyme activity of ≥310 U/mg, together with an RZ value of ≥3.0 and an approximate molecular mass of 44 kDa. Its defined activity per unit mass provides a reference for enzyme selection and loading design in antibody labeling, immunoassay reagent development, and biochemical reaction systems. Available in 100 μg, 500 μg, and 1 mg sizes, the product supports small-scale evaluation and method development. Please consult the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis or product documentation for activity unit definitions and assay conditions. For research use only.
