Principle of FISH
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is a molecular cytogenetic technique that allows the localization of a specific DNA sequence or
an entire chromosome in a cell. It is utilized to diagnose genetic diseases, gene mapping, and identification of chromosomal abnormalities,
and may also be used to study comparisons among the chromosomes' arrangements of genes of related species. FISH involves unwinding
of the double helix structure and binding of the DNA of all probes attached to a fluorescent molecule with a specific sequence of sample
DNA, which can be visualized under the fluorescent microscope.
What Nebulabio Offers?
With our proprietary BAC library, Nebulabio is capable of developing custom fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) probes.
Advantages of Nebulabio FISH Probes
1) Multiple Labels available
Different dyes/labels including 5-ROX, 5-TAMRA, Carboxyrhodamine 6G, 5-Fluorescein, Aqua and Biotin, make multiple gene
detections possible and reliable.
2) Various Specimens Applicable
Nebulabio's FISH probes can be applicated in fresh, frozen, or paraffin-embedded specimens, as well as punctures, exfoliated cells
and many other materials.
3) Cost-effective & Timely Delivery
Your specific requirements will be discussed and cost-effective solution be commended; the turn around time typically ranges from
7-14 business days.
