This antibody is obtained by immunizing mice with Aeromonas hydrophila (whole bacterial cells). The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

This antibody can be used in ELISA (1:1,000 dilution), Western blot (1: 1,000 dilution), and indirect immunofluorescence (1:1,000 dilution) assays. F. psychrophilum is a Gram-negative, slender rod-shaped bacterium with rounded ends that are motile by gliding. It is widespread woldwide and is the causative agent of bacterial cold water disease (CWD) which cause high mortality in salmonid and non-salmonid species.
